Why do we only have free product versions with mobile advertisements (Ads)?
We give great value to user privacy. Our products involve third party Ad service providers, primarily because we are unable to afford other monetization and support models at this time. On the other hand, Ad based support helps us to maintain them free for all interested. Hence, it's not without benefit to users. Furthermore, our products are functional offline and without Ads (unless it's a specific function that requires network access). This design choice highlights our priority is to make them useful, as such accessibility can be rare even for paid mobile apps. Availability of more product options heavily depends on your appreciated support for them.
Privacy and Mobile Advertisements (Ads):
While the details of privacy terms may depend on particular Ad technology provider, a categorization relevant to privacy can be "Personalized" vs "Non-personalized" Ads. Their scope generally applies when you use a mobile app supported by Ads, just as it does when you browse some web site supported by Ads. These categories give an overview about what sort of private data may be involved between you as a user and the Ad provider. For details, see for instance Personalized and Non-personalized Ads.
